We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Service Technician (Engineer) to join our South Western Regional team based at Berrimah, NT. Reporting to the Service Manager NT, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of sales and service expertise for the growth of the Speciality Chemicals and WTP Service business within the assigned region, with a primary focus on customer service and indentifying new business opportunities. Some of the key duties include: 1. To provide scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, breakdown service and workshop repairs and chemical treatment, sampling and reporting2. To apply technical training and knowledge on each job, follow procedures and maintenance schedules for the equipment3. To ensure the satisfactory delivery of products and services in accordance with supply contracts4. To establish and maintain relationships with the customers designated site contact/s to ensure site account security5. Keep informed of and pass on to other staff relevant knowledge in the water treatment field – products and technology, market / competitor intelligence, commercial information, and legal requirements6. Provide feedback to the Service Manager on customer organisational changes as and when they happen7. Provide technical information and support to other field staff and customersThe ideal candidate has considerable experience in water filtration or specialty chemicals, and industrial process water sampling field analysis as well as formal trade qualifications (e.g. certificate in engineering and/or trade course electrical, mechanical). You have sound knowledge of process and technical aspects of the water treatment industry and strong understanding of OHS&E in the workplace. Experience working in a heavy commercial to light industrial process environment, process instrumentation, water and waste water WTP design, installation, operation and field service work will be highly regarded.The ability to efficiently self time-manage and prioritise conflicting work objectives is essential. You have strong communication and strong computer skills in Microsoft Office. Regular local and interstate travel will be required.
